Gestellpool Europe and BOX ID launch GESAid

Hanover – Together, they are expanding the industry network to create greater transparency in rack management.

Gestellpool Europe and BOX ID have combined their expertise to introduce GESAid, a jointly developed tracking solution for rack management. The goal of the partnership is to make the circulation of transport racks more transparent, cost-effective and predictable.

For many glass and window manufacturers, they lose track of their racks as soon as they leave the company’s premises. This lack of information leads to time-consuming searches, longer turnaround times and unnecessary tie-up of capital. This is exactly where GESAid comes in. The solution combines cost-effective trackers with a growing network of receivers and existing rack management processes. As a result, reliable information is available about the location and circulation of racks – even across company and system boundaries.

One key advantage is cost-effectiveness. The trackers cost only about one-third as much as comparable systems. This makes the transition to digital rack tracking significantly more cost-effective and makes it more attractive to equip large rack inventories with the solution. At the same time, transparency within the network increases with each new participant and each additional detection point. Companies thus benefit from better planning of their inventory, shorter turnaround times and higher rack availability.

“Our industry network has grown over many years. And together with BOX ID, we’re expanding it even further. This allows us to set new standards in transparency and offer our members added value for their rack management”, says Felix Spangenberg, Managing Director of Gestellpool Europe.

GESAid is currently being tested in ongoing operations in collaboration with HoffmannGlas, a company of the Semco Group and a member of Gestellpool Europe. The pilot project focuses on reception coverage, data quality and practical use throughout the entire logistics chain. The insights gained will be directly applied to improving and further developing the solution.

Our GESAid page contains all the information, as well as the partner video and insights into the pilot project at HoffmannGlas.
